This weekend beginners course will provide some useful pointers to anyone contemplating a career switch, or even those already in the industry who want to learn more.
The course will reveal many unseen and unknown aspects of the jewellery business, from market stall to luxury brands.
Your lecturer, Judy Head, has many years in the business, from sales to marketing, including a distinguished career with De Beers. She now runs her own design and marketing company specialising in jewellery, silverware and the arts.
By the end of the course you will understand:
- current issues that the industry faces
- the scope and scale of the UK jewellery industry in an international context
- career options available and potential areas of employment
Who should take this course?
This course is suitable for people new to the industry who would like to pursue a career in the industry either as an employee or running their own jewellery business. It does not prepare you for a job in the industry but will give you a good idea of your options and a starting point for your research.
