Let's see in detail who is the justice of the peace, what are his competences and how to lodge an appeal. The justice of the peace is a professional qualified to carry out legal activities, able to deal with a series of civil and minor criminal cases. For example, as regards the limits of civil proceedings, they are determined on the basis of the value of the case, the sector of reference and the territoriality, with a maximum ceiling of 5 thousand euros for movable property.
