About the course:
I was quite impressed at Kaplan College in Covent Garden (London); the courses are well structured and very competent teachers and available; it gives much space to the conversation, and every student is actively involved with group activities and discussions in class. In only one month my English has improved a lot. The only drawback, the organization: I have had several problems for the reservation, made at the College, a taxi transfer to Stansted airport, despite a reservation made well in advance, the taxi driver was presented with an hour delay threatening to make me miss the flight. Apart from this inconvenience everything went very well and is an experience that I would recommend!

The school is a beautiful environment to gain experience, meet new friends and confront new realities. Do not miss the joy and friendliness of all the teachers and staff who daily meetings.
Unfortunately there are some negative points that I have encountered during my month's stay. I changed four professors in 4 weeks consequently varying the method of teaching, which I was not too useful. Sometimes the teachers perform exercises that from my point of view are not relevant examination I have to do (IELTS), however there is an open willingness to listen to the concerns and requests of the student trying to improve the lesson setting. My advice is not to wait but to go now to talk about so you do not waste time and make the most of the possibilities offered by the school.
I do not consider my course has been effective for my preparation, as I have already explained, in fact, much of the work I was doing it alone studying after school.

About the course:
I was able to attend only one week of intensive English in Dublin, due to work and family commitments. I found more than satisfactory organization. I stayed in a comfortable residence for every public transport and have been accompanied in the early preliminary rounds from a referent very helpful. The accommodation was not beautiful, but it was still comfortable. The school could be reached in 20 minutes on foot or by the LUAS.
The only drawback is that the lessons were from 12.00 at 17.45 and arrived really tired at night: the central lesson was really tiring. There were people of all ages (at the end of September was out of term time) and of different nationalities, most of them well-motivated. In class, the teachers were trying to divide them from the same area to prevent spoke the same language. I took advantage of the free time in the morning, in order to perform the various tasks assigned and visit the city far and wide and it was a great experience. So I was able to talk more with the Irish and improve my confidence with the language.
It seemed like a serious school, I got books and exercise books right away, have been followed well and I hope to repeat soon.

About the course:
The course was excellent !! The teacher was very good and I really enjoyed it and the lessons were not heavy despite being three hours of consecutive course. Even the staff members were very helpful when I ancestral problems. But with the accomodation some problems: the residence was empty and the family where I was moved was rather cold, detached and not very friendly and did not allow a relationship of sharing and participation in family life.

About the course:
I hope my review will be helpful to someone who perhaps is still undecided about which school to choose. Before booking Kaplan I read hundreds of reviews of many schools and I finally opted for Kaplan International Vancouver, Canada.
I originally booked eight months of intensive Inglese with family, then when the return date was approaching, I decided to extend my stay in Vancouver the other two months, so my experience in total and was 10 months in Canada ( from January to October 2017).
Well first of all say that the school is in the center and is very close to metro and buses, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping centers, gyms, etc. The staff is exceptional, are available to help with any question, even if it does not concern the school, the teachers are all very competent, maximum class size of 12 to 15 students. various activities are organized every day and then in the school is a travel agency with which you can book trips or weekend.
The school offenses lessons in the morning and in the afternoon and you can choose which part of the day going.
I chose Canada because it is not so common for us Italians and since I did not speak English well when I arrived I did not spend all the time surrounded by Italians and in fact we were not many. I highly recommend this school and Vancouver in general because they have allowed me to greatly improve my English. The city is very safe and offers many activities throughout the year, is a multicultural city.
The school gives you the basics then it's up to you to practice what you learn in class, so when you went out with friends you only speak English.
As for the family initially it was recommended to book only a month and then look for something more econimico alone and so I did. After the first month I did not find anything so I paid for the remaining period for the family, I was convinced to get a big discount on the other hand I have applied the weekly price multiplied by the time when I would have stayed and I do not and It seemed right. Then I was told that I would have received the discount only at the time of booking and no later ..... having said that, my advice is to book everything at first and then if the family do not like it for any reason, you can always change it without supplements. This has been there the only negative point I found 10 months.
It is an experience that changes you and gives you a chance to interact with kids who come from every corner of the world, who over time become a bit 'your family !!!

About the course:
I thought of going abroad and being able to compare with people who speak a language different from mine, but instead in my class consists of 15 pupils if I'm not mistaken there were as many as 9 Italian. The conversation in English was practically impossible except with the teacher. If you really are made of classes it is appropriate to have the people with whom one can not speak their language, so that you are forced to speak in English. Instead it was virtually impossible. Then the other thing I think out of place was the allocation of levels, because in your evaluation is a 'Higher Intermediate' level but most of the people in my class were not able to be able to support a basic conversation and then returned always to use Italian. In my class it was really hard to be able to speak English in a continuous way, except with the teacher, with whom you had to make yourself understood in English. I found it very interesting the activities of speaking and listening rather than those of writing that seemed all too elementary, but this is a simple point of view. Batto very strong on the point of speaking activities are much more effective if the 2/3 do not speak your language class, rather than the opposite.
