Course Aims:
To start learners on the basic knitting stitches; garter stitch and moss stitch and to cast on and off. For students to gain confidence to enable them to achieve and complete a project.
Course Content:
With tutor guidance and support students will start with a small project such as a purse or mobile phone cover and then move on to produce a decorative corsage and scarf. Learning how to shape your knitting designs using different yarns to create texture and form. Depending on the time of year seasonal projects will be undertaken to create the likes of small decorative jewellery or appliqus or festive decoration, from Christmas stockings to decorative hearts.
