Course programme
A range of topics will be covered during the course including monitor & maintain health& safety of self & others, establish plants outdoors, maintain plants outdoors, develop personal performance and maintain working relationships, use and maintain equipment and machines, establish & develop decorative amenity areas, construct and maintain boundaries and paths, site preparation, identify and classify plants accurately using their botanical names.
How Will I LearnMost of the time is spent in the working environment, with College attendance on day release basis 28 days per year.
Progression OpportunitiesYou can further your career in horticulture or landscaping. This course is often used by employers as the basic minimum benchmark level for gardeners, landscapers and operatives. Successful candidates might progress onto SVQ Level 3 & Modern Apprenticeship.
