Course programme
The programme is well recognised by the profession in Hong Kong and abroad. Our teaching staff members are internationally recognised and our laboratory facilities are state of the art.
Students can focus on either land surveying or geo-information technology by choosing an appropriate set of Elective Subjects in Year Two of the programme.
Students with good results in the HD programme will have opportunities, upon submitting applications, to be admitted to senior placement in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics programme.
Graduates can apply for advanced entry to related degrees in overseas universities.
- Year One teaches basic geomatics and provides a set of core subjects required by the University.
- In Year Two, students can tailor their subject choices to suit their own career aspirations. Subjects are structured to allow students to focus on land surveying, geo-information technology, or a combination of the two areas. Choosing either land surveying or geo-information technology related subjects will prepare graduates for study in the related stream of the Department’s BSc programme.
