Who should take this course?

The course is aimed at anyone wishing to learn about landscape photography, whether that’s in the traditional sense in rural areas or in cities producing cityscapes.

This course will help you have a thorough understanding of creating strong compositional landscape photographs, they will gain an understanding of using natural light to its full potential and the technical considerations needed for landscapes.

• Camera / lens workshop
• Set mini brief

Week 2

• Review of first brief
• Working with manual exposure / ISO
• Workshop on Bracketing / Filters
• Second brief given

Week 3

• Review of second brief
• Basic colour management
• Re-sizing images correctly for print / on-line usage
• Third brief given

Week 4

• Review of third brief
• Understanding natural light and adapting to its changes
• B+W and Panoramic landscape workshop
• Set fourth brief

Week 5

• Review fourth brief
• RAW image processing
• Spot cleaning images

Week 6

• Discussions and critiquing personal project progress
• How to construct a photo-essay and create narrative
• Analysis of the work of top 5 Landscape photographers

Week 7

• Portfolio building
• Preparing a professional portfolio
• Review of personal project

Week 8

• Portfolio reviewing and assessment
• Presentation with online exhibition
• Evaluation and conclusion
