Our BA Language and/with Management allows you to develop a high level of linguistic competence in your chosen language and combine the study of management with an understanding of the cultural context of France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the Spanish-speaking world. The programme will hone the linguistic and intellectual skills you need for efficient negotiation in professional contexts. Language modules will enable you to reach a high level of proficiency in your target language, and acquire useful skills such as essay writing and delivering presentations, whilst management components will give you a good understanding of business and management and the environments in which they operate.

You will also have the opportunity to study a number of cross-cultural modules exploring specific themes across a variety of language-speaking areas.

The programme is also available for full-time evening study over four years, including a year of study abroad, and for part-time evening study over four years.

About this course

Graduates can pursue careers in commerce, banking, cultural agencies, national/international government or education. This degree may also be useful in becoming a human resources officer, chartered management accountant, corporate investment banker or management consultant.

COURSE STRUCTURE

You take compulsory, core and option modules to a total of 360 credits over three years.
