No formal qualifications are required. You will need to successfully complete an induction programme which requires a minimum of 95% attendance.

Course programme

Year 1

You should expect to attend the College for 3-4 days per week for up to a year, depending on start date. During the course you will develop or enhance your English and maths skills and will study life skills such as healthy eating/cooking, enterprise skills, and employability skills. In addition, you will attend sessions on CV writing and interview techniques. During the year, there is potential for peer mentoring and coaching experience depending on your existing qualifications and confidence. Work experience is a mandatory part of the course.

Additional information

There are end of year exams for English and maths, all other elements of the programme are informally assessed throughout the course.
