Course programme

Law is a valuable qualification for many careers and a considerable number of professions have a legal content in their training, for example, banking, business, accountancy and journalism. Other opportunities include qualifying for the legal profession as a solicitor or barrister. Academic institutions value Law A Level and our students receive excellent offers for Law degrees. The majority of students progress to study Law at university, although criminology is an alternative choice. Popular destinations include Cardiff and Swansea locally, as well as Oxford and Cambridge, King’s College and the London School of Economics.

GCSE English Language at grade B is required.

Additional information

Students will be required to purchase textbooks. Students will be encouraged to participate in highly successful educational visits, requiring a contribution from students, which complement the syllabus. For example AS students have annually visited the Law Courts in London and A Level students have visited the European legal institutions in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg.
