About the course This course is ideal for students with an interest in the criminal justice system who wish to broaden their career prospects into this broader area while still studying for a qualifying law degree, essential for anyone wishing to become a practising lawyer. The course will combine a study of the core foundations of law including Contract Law, Criminal Law and the Law of Tort with key elements of Criminology allowing you to learn about the problem of crime, why people offend and how crime is controlled. In the later years of your study you will have the opportunity to select units exploring contemporary issues in Criminology such as Violence in Contemporary Society; Corporate and Organised Crime and Studies in Race and Ethnicity.
