About the course This course is ideal for students who wish to combine studying for a Qualifying Law Degree with a foundation in the study of Psychology who wish to broaden their career prospects into this broader area while still studying for a qualifying law degree, essential for anyone wishing to become a practising lawyer. The course will combine a study of the core foundations of law including Contract Law, Criminal Law and the Law of Tort with key elements of psychological study. Later in your studies you will have the opportunity to explore a choice of topics such as Psychology and Criminal Behaviour; Psychology and Mental Health and Critical Social Psychology. As a member of the School of Law and Finance you will be invited to participate in our award winning programme of extra-curricular activities including the Law Clinic and the Refugee Legal Aid Project...

A law degree is a demanding but valuable qualification which will provide you with a range of skills which will equip you for a legal career or a career in a range of professional environments.
The LLB Law with Psychology offers the added opportunity to study the issues of crime and punishment from an alternative perspective. You will study not only what constitutes a crime from in the eyes of the law but also explore the role which psychology plays in the processes of law-making, deterrence, enforcement, prosecution, court-processes and corrections.
In class teaching is supported by a range of fantastic extra-curricular opportunities including our Law clinic, our award winning Refugee Legal Aid Clinic and our fantastic mooting debate programme along with a range of student experience activities in psychology including a film club.
