Teaching, Learning And Assessment

You’ll get to experience a range of teaching approaches on this course, and we’ll help you develop the study and learning strategies that best support you as you acquire and develop your business management, language and academic skills.

Each module will have a practical focus, and timetabled sessions will allocate time to tuition, group work and assignment/IT workshops. Each week, we offer 15 hours of tuition, including workshops or seminars, plus an hour’s academic tutorial to support you with assignments. Our teaching approach places emphasis on facilitation, where your tutor will guide and support you as you complete a variety of tasks.

In tutorial sessions, you’ll receive detailed and constructive feedback on your progress, and we’ll help you find your own strategies for successfully completing the course. In addition, you’ll have access to our Virtual Learning Environment – a website with a wide range of additional learning materials, interactive content and support resources.

Assessments don’t just include written exams and assignments but also portfolios of work which you’ll work on independently with advice from teachers, giving you the opportunity to improve your work throughout the course. You’ll also be expected to deliver presentations and participate in discussions with regular feedback from your teachers to help you. One to one discussions between teacher and student are also a very important feature of the programme where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss progress and raise any concerns about your studies.
