History

Regular and current provider for professional courses to Norfolk, Herts and Essex LAS & Norcas. Within last 5 years also designed and delivered courses for Southend and Thurrock unitary authorities, Suffolk LA, Break, Mencap, Julian Housing, MIND, and CSCI (before it was CQC)

Courses delivered in Self Esteem Enhancement for MIND service users, groups of people with learning difficulties and people with physical and sensory impairments. Courses for people with LDs wanting paid or voluntary work.

Recent policies written in Sexuality for people with LDs, Older People, Physical and Sensory Impairments. Similar policy for Mental Health commissioned but not yet written.

Description

Zoë Grace Cozens formed Leapfrog Training in 1996 after 15 years’ experience of working and training within social work. She has worked within specialist and generic teams and been involved in strategic development of a number of innovative services within the health and care sector. Most recently taking 3 years out from Leapfrog to be Norfolk County Council’s Adult Protection Coordinator. Norfolk is now seen as one of the six national sites of excellence.

Zoë Grace has been facilitating group and individual development since joining Cambridgeshire County Council’s Learning and Development Dept. in 1991 as the Training Organiser (latterly senior) in Joint Development. Whilst with Cambridgeshire she was responsible for rolling out the majority of training for the adult care service for the County Council, in addition to focusing on inter-agency development work. As part of the latter Zoë Grace helped to develop and launch the Adult Protection joint policy and procedures for the Huntingdon and Peterborough social services and health care trusts. She then maintained a rolling training programme for protecting vulnerable adults.

In 1990 she was accredited by the Kairos Foundation, an international educational charity, to mentor self esteem enhancement development courses. Zoë Grace has applied this work in a professional setting to Community Learning Difficulty teams, management groups and with users of mental health, physical impairment and sensory impairment services. For people with learning difficulties she has adapted the course so that it can be expressed through art, drama and storytelling. In addition she has taught courses for the public using weekend and 6 weekly formats. This has totalled 51 courses of Power of Self Esteem and Power of Purpose to date, with more in the pipeline.

The skills and insights gained during professional and personal development make Zoë Grace an ideal person to facilitate change, whether in one to one coaching or through team building and training. She works to enhance the purpose, clarity and vision in a person’s professional or personal life so that change is whole, organic and transformative. Her model for leadership is that of Greenleaf’s Servant Leadership and Lance Secretan’s Higher Ground Leaders. Her intention is to model and live in a way that is aligning her purpose, ethics and support for others. Zoë Grace is available to offer consultancy in service development and policy design. She is part of the Potent 6 coaching partnership. She is also an associate working with Issy Crocker & team.

Zoë Grace has a commitment to enhancing the quality of professional practice so that teams are created which fulfill performance indicators and national framework standards and personal aspirations of excellence and satisfaction. Customer need is central to all training design and delivery, as is empowerment of users of the service. Whenever appropriate she will consult users of a service in the design of trainings and co-deliver with them. Zoë Grace will also bring in drummers, facilitators and a trained support team when needed.

Zoë Grace’s is also a singer, writer of songs and poetry, maker of marvelous garments, lover of movement and people. These feed her passion for integrating insight and professional rigour with creativity to deliver inspiring and energising trainings.
