Get to grips with this hot gardening topic and get the most from your shrubs, climbers, container plants, roses and fruit trees with effective and correct pruning techniques. Don't let the complicated and often confusing information in gardening books get you down, this no nonsense course will make sense of it all!

Emphasising whether it is Spring or Autumn pruning that is required, this course will cover the seasonal requirements for your evergreens, flowering plants, roses and other deciduous plants including a range of fruit, climbers and shrubs.

To take full advantage of the limited time available, the course is delivered with the emphasis on the essential understanding and theory of pruning techniques. The design of the course also aims to provide practical demonstrations and examples of pruning which may take place where appropriate. This is also subject to weather conditions, timing and climate.

Additional information

In the event of some practical demonstration candidates are advised to attend with suitable outdoor clothing.
