Learn to Swing Dance

Swingsters Mel and Mike will teach you to dance together to music ranging from Charlestons of the roaring 20’s through to the big band swing of Count Basie and Duke Ellington, and much more, right up to the modern day with Harry Connick Jr, and Robbie Williams. Make friends, have fun, dance socially, get some exercise without feeling like a hamster in a wheel at the gym. All you need to bring is some comfy shoes, an open mind, and your smile! You don’t need to bring a partner, everyone rotates in the class, by the end of the class everyone will have danced with everyone. Mike and Mel have been teaching Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, Blues, Boogie Woogie and authentic Jazz together for 5 years, both at their regular venues and for other swing dance organisations across the UK.
