This programme is for school leavers (19+) who wish to continue their learning in a college environment. The curriculum is personalised so that you can participate in a range of activities which stimulate and encourage your development. Our core themes for learning are: personal development, health and well-being, citizenship, and communication.

About this course
There are no formal qualifications needed but staff from the course will work with learners during their last year at school as part of the transition process. All learners on this programme will need to show their Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Course programme
Year 1
You will undergo an intensive initial assessment which will shape a personalised programme of study. The curriculum will focus on sensory and practical areas. Units include creative studies, exploring the environment, personal and social development, and community and citizenship. You will have a planned transition to further education and will be supported to develop independent living skills and community engagement. Inclusion workers work 1:1 with you throughout the course to support with tasks such as personal care, eating, medication, and mobility according to individual need.
