Course programme
Combine your General English course with a personal interest. Simply exchange English lessons for lessons based on your favourite interest. This makes a special, project-based course which will give you a real sense of achievement (a minimum level of low- intermediate is advised). So instead of 15 lessons English per week you may choose 10 English and 5 Creative Cookery.
If you have an interest that we have not listed, we will do our best to come up with a programme especially for you.
Creative options
* Creative Cookery
* Flower arranging
Try out the combination of English and Cookery - learn how to bake traditional cakes, or perhaps you would prefer to practice flower arranging and learn about flowers, markets and gardens.
British culture options
* Royal British Heritage - famous people and places
* Antiques / Architecture
How would you like to join us on one of our British cultural courses and find out about old traditions and institutions such as royal residences, stately homes and cream teas.
Nature & outdoor options
* Flowers and Gardens
* Bird watching, Hill Walking
* Horse riding
* Golf
If you like to explore interesting places and learn new things at the same time as learning English then this is the course for you.
Art options
* Literature, Music, Theatre, Painting & Sculpture
* Art, Classical Music
Discover the culture of the Arts, choose fine arts and painting or, the famous Shakespearean theatre or visit the Art Galleries of London.
Learning tip
Do some work on your English skills before you come - revise your grammar or do some reading. A little pre-preparation will get you off to a flying start when you arrive.
Let us know if you have any special requests for multi-location stay or a combined programme with one of the International House schools. We will devise a particular programme for you. We can even arrange to accommodate other members of the family who want to accompany you.
