The course is offered to individuals already working in the Sports & Leisure industries who wish to study through work based learning. There are no pre-defined entry routes, however learners wishing to progress into this apprenticeship programme will require a minimum Level 1 Maths and English. The programme places great emphasis on practical ability backed up with an understanding of the principles involved. The Apprenticeship offers high quality training, to meet the Sports & Leisure industry standards. The qualification was designed for employers and ensures that the training received will equip students with the skills needed by the industry.

Students will receive practical training designed to develop knowledge and competence at carrying out relevant real-life tasks that employers value. This practical course covers a wide range of subjects to give a broad basic knowledge. The course is divided into three sections: Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning NVQ Certificate in Active Leisure, Learning and Well-being Operational Services Certificate in Leisure Operations Course content will be tailored to the needs of the individual and will include: Continued Professional Development Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults Resolve customer service problems Provide a facilities reception service
