Course programme

Do you want a job working with animals? This programme will help you get started and provides an introduction to handling and looking after animals. You will gain a great deal of practical experience in handling animals and an NPTC Level 1 Land Based Studies Diploma (Animal Care).
You will gain the Level 1 Diploma in Land Based Studies (Animal Care), awarded by NPTC. You could also achieve Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT, a First Aid Certificate and a Manual Handling Certificate.
There will be practical demonstrations, skills workshops and formal taught sessions. Assessment is by coursework portfolio and online assessments.
