About this course

People wishing to work within the Private Security Industry as a CCTV Operator

Must be 18yrs of age to gain an SIA licence. As the course is delivered in English, a good command of the English language is necessary, at least a minimum of Level 1 required.

Level 2 Award in Working as a CCTV Operator within the Private Security Industry (RQF)

The practical aspect of this course is conducted in a live CCTV control room and delivered by tutors who have many years experience.

Course programme

Course is run over 3 days and will cover 3 modules, at the end of the first two modules there will be a short multi-choice examination and on the third module there will be an ongoing practical asessment of the use of CCTV equipoment within a lice CCTV control room.

Module 1. Working Within The Private Security Industry

Module 2. Working as a CCTV Operator

Module 3. Practical use of CCTV Equipment

Upon successful completion you will hve gained a Level 2 Award in CCTV Public Space Surveillance which in turn will allow you to apply to the SIA for the relevant licence.
