This course will enable you to attain the skills and knowledge to carryout first aid in the home or workplace. This course is aimed at anyone over 16 years of age. The course covers all areas of basic first aid and allows the individual to gain a nationally recognised qualification at a Level 2. The course is classroom based with practical and theoretical assessments but don't worry as the trainer will ensure your ready for the assessments.

Course programme
Course Information This course is ideal for smaller work place environments that present minimal health and safety risks i.e. small companies, offices, shops and employees who travel or work off site. Designed for those who wish to have a basic knowledge of First Aid. The course is delivered as a Level 2 award
Objectives
Students will cover the following topics:
• Rules and regulations
• Basic life support
• Wounds and Bleeding
• Fractures
• Burns
• Heart related conditions
This course can be specifically designed to meet individual work place risks covering specific injuries relevant to work environments Course Duration / Qualification A minimum of 4 hrs to a maximum of 6 hrs providing a recognized 3 year qualification (ofqual) Further information To become successful the trainer will conduct a continuous assessment of all students during the course. The course is complete with handout folder and handouts and the option of a first aid manual This is the new EFAW course re-designed and accredited by ofqual. The course is delivered over 1 day in-house or at a selected venue.
