Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) within the Private Security Industry

To qualify learners so that they are enabled to apply for the Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence in CCTV Operations

The course is intended for anyone who wants to work in the private security industry, specifically within control rooms.

Learners must be computer literate.
Learners must be proficient in English; speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Learners must have valid identification documents.

Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) within the Private Security Industry

The course is delivered in a Covid-19 safe environment and social distancing is implemented.
Delivery is conducted by operational CCTV Control Room Operators and Controllers.
Learners are assessed using an approved simulated Control Room environment.

Learners will be sent a Course Booking Form to be completed and returned.
On receipt of the Course Booking Form, an invoice will be raised and Joining Documentation will be sent.

The course contains three units:

•. Working within the Private Security Industry
•. Working as a CCTV Operator within the Private Security Industry
•. Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment within the Private Security Industry

Assessment for the first two units is by multi choice question exams.
Assessment of the practical unit is by scenario based observation and learner portfolio.
