Level 2 City & Guilds Diploma in Hairdressing (NVQ)

You will learn a whole range of hairdressing skills during the course such as basic techniques for styling and cutting hair, how to shampoo, condition and treat the hair, how to set, dress and colour hair, including plaiting and twisting. On the client side you will study how to advise and consult with clients, fulfil salon reception duties and maintain effectiveness at work. English and maths are also taught to enhance these skills. Students learn by direct observation, practice, theory sessions and demonstrations and gain valuable work experience along the way.
