This Level 2 Diploma is a work related course with a varied mix of practical and academic work related to the electronic/electrical industry. You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The course covers the basic knowledge and technical practical skills, providing a good foundation for future career opportunities, or progression onto a more advanced work-related qualification.

You will also study a unit from the NVQ Level 1 Certificate in Performing Engineering Operations, to supplement your theoretical studies. Alongside this course you will also study the Welsh Baccalaureate.

4 GCSEs at grades A*- D including Maths, English & Science, or a Level 1 qualification with the appropriate selection of units.

You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.
