You will study a particular area of Mathematics and then take the examination in that area straight after the teaching while it is fresh in your mind.

The areas covered are:

Statistics

Number

Algebra and Shape and Space

The course looks to go through all the material covered in school and rectify all the misunderstandings needed to improve your grade

Method of assessment
The assessment is by 3 examinations taken in November, March and June, as well as 2 compulsory coursework elements.

If students have previously studied the same syllabus at school there may be a possibility of a November resit if individual exam results and coursework marks are high, but this must be confirmed with the Head of Mathematics.
