      · What are the objectives of this course?

      Unit 1: The aim of this unit is to assess the trainee assessor's knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin assessment. Unit 2: The aim of this unit is to assess the trainee assessor's performance in assessing occupational competence in an individual's work environment. There must be evidence to cover all the assessment methods listed in the unit. Unit 3: The aim of this unit is to assess the trainee assessor's performance in assessing vocational knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment

      · Who is it intended for?

      Unit 1 & 2: Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. People who assess occupational competence in a work environment, these would not be simulated tasks. Unit 1 & 3: Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement. People who access vocational skills, knowledge or understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment included simulations. Units 1, 2, & 3: Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement People who assess competency in the workplace and skills or knowledge in a classroom or training environment.

      · Requirements

      - Access to two candidates going through assessments - Where possible someone with an Assessor and IQA qualification to observe your practice. however if you do not have access to someone, please contact us and we will see how we can assist you - Working at Level 2 in English and Mathematics - Basic ICT skills (the course is online using our Moodle site, the level of skill set is just basic Microsoft office and able to upload attachments)

      · Qualification

      All combinations of units leads to a Level 3 qualification. Unit 1 & 2: Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. Unit 1 & 3: Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement. Units 1, 2, & 3: Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

      About the course: The course and the tutors were very supportive , though changing 3 tutors for the same course was not a ncie experience. Feedback for my work was great help.

      About the course: The organistion and the course instructors owes a huge thanks for such excellent services throughout my AET course. Anglea owes a huge thanks as well for her motivation. Language was quite a barrier for me because english was not my tounge. Though struggled but with suppport it went smooth. Emma and Judith owes a thank you. Overall I would recommend the MKLC to colleagues.
