What will I do?

This is a knowledge only qualification, therefore, no placement in a real work environment is required.

You will study the following two mandatory units:

  • Preparing to work as a home based childcarer
  • Preparing to set up a home based childcare business.

You will also study the following:

A paediatric first aid qualification which is a requirement of registration for childminders.

We will also support your development in English and maths which are a key component of all College programmes.
