About this course
You must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development or Early Years, such as the City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development (3171) before undertaking this qualification. Candidates must also have access to a setting whose main purpose is Playwork.

Introduction:
This qualification is for practitioners who already hold a relevant level 3 qualification in early years and child care and who have a background in children's care, learning and development but work or want to work in a playwork setting. This level 3 award is designed to support your transition from one sector to the other.
It is also suitable for childminders.
Study Mode & Location:
The course lasts 12 weeks this will be 3 hours in college with 2 hours supported study either at home using internet or in a college learning centre.
Course Content:

Unit 102 Aspects of Playwork Practice.

This is by portfolio assignments.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
This qualification is recognised by Ofsted and is recommended by the Skills active for those working or wanting to working in before and after school settings and holiday clubs for children over 5 years old.

You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
