BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN MEDIA PRODUCTION (FILM AND TELEVISION)

If you're serious about a career in the media industry this course has everything you need to get a head start. You will study units which focus on themes such as research techniques and factual programme production as well as focusing on practical aspects such as the use of single and multi camera techniques.

Two years.

What qualifications do I need to study on the course?
Four grade C's or above at GCSE (a grade C in English Language is preferred).

What will I study?
There are two modules in the AS year, exploring film form and British and American film, each worth 50% of the total marks available.

Method of assessment
You will be assessed through practical and theoretical work, there are no examinations.

What will I be able to progress to?
This subject can lead jobs in the film and television production industry as well as a wide range of degree programmes in film studies, media studies, scriptwriting and many more.
