Level 3 Business (90 credit or Ext Dip)

Course overview
You will learn about business culture, types of organisations, marketing, finance, retail, human resources and enterprise. You will be assessed through a variety of coursework and vocational projects based on different types of business careers that will support you in the development of skills required for employment. If required, you will also work towards the achievement of Maths and English at GCSE grade C as part of your overall study programme. There will be a mix of classroom based activities which include on-line research, production of reports, presentations and creating displays as well as out of classroom events or industry practice which involves demonstrating your business skills. A high standard of industry professionalism is expected from you during project activities.
Who is this course for?
The course is ideal for those who are 16 – 18, have at least 4 GCSE’s at Grade C, ideally including either maths or English and have an interest in a management career in a business environment
What other experience will I gain?
There will be a range of industry guest speakers, visits to support research and the possibility of a work placement to demonstrate industry practice. You will develop wider skills to prepare for progression to University and for employment.
