For 16-18 year-olds, your tuition will be free and you may be able to get discounted travel with Transport for London student travel cards. 19+: Adults on many courses are eligible for Government funding for some or all of the fee. Adults aged 19-23 are eligible for Government funding up to and including their first full level 3 qualification, and after that they may access an Advanced Learner Loan to cover tuition fees if the course is loan-fundable. For 16-18 year old students main enrolment starts on the day that GCSE results are released (August). However, early enrolment does take place during the summer. Student success 82% of last year’s students went on to university or into jobs. What's the time commitment The course has approximately 15 hours teacher contact time per week. You should expect to spend an additional 5 hours a week completing homework / assignment work in addition to your actual lessons. Normally, you should expect to spend an extra 5 hours a week on private study. Some of this can be at college using the open access facility with technician support. Your teacher will set you regular assessments and set deadlines for you to hand them in. At other times we will expect you to be using a range of resources to reinforce and extend class work (e.g.) books, journals, CD ROMS, Internet, etc Where do I go? Support for you Before you start your lessons, you’ll take part in induction sessions, where you’ll meet other students and find out all about the support that’s available to you. This includes learning about the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), tutorials and the campus facilities.
