To be able to deliver the Sia Physical intervention level 2 unit and be able to deliver physical intervention techniques to care workers, teachers and anyone face to face in the public or service sector industry. Suitable for: Anyone whom wishes to deliver the Sia Security qualifications and wishes to deliver physical intervention to those working in the care, teaching or public sector industries.

This 4 day course will teach you the techniques and methods to use 'physical intervention' as a positive way of dealing with aggressive subjects without causing harm to them or yourselves.
This course is part of our approved programe that is we are registered for on the 'Sia home office website' for. This 4 day programe will give you an indepth knowledge of:-
- the impact of using physical intervention
- 'use of force' and how it must be reasonable, proportionate, neccasary and justifiable in a neutral third party eyes
- laws and legislations for using physical intervention
- social, economival amnd medical iimplications when physical intervention has been used axcesively
- teaches you 'dephensive' physical skills
- teaches you 'low' level techniques and methods
- the medical implications and ways to reduce 'positional asphyxia' or minimise the risk of injury and or death
- explains how we all have a 'duty of care' even though an incident may have involved the use of physical intervention.
These techniques and methods are within the limits of what the SIA say we are alowed to teach i.e. techniques that do not involve the head, neck or spine. Techniques that do not involve strikes or kicks or ones that do not apply pressure to joints and tendons
