Learners are required to provide evidence of appropriate judgement in planning, selecting and presenting information to internal and external customers. At level 4 some of the managers day- to- day work is self -directed and some supervised by a senior manager.They will have responsibility for meeting specified quality standards and need a clear understanding of relevant general and dentally specific regulations, plus the ability to apply a high level of interpersonal skills to ensure observation of practice policy and protocols. Suitable for: Our courses are designed to add vital management knowledge and skills for students from a dental background and for students from a management background within other sectors, to put their skills and knowledge into a dental care context.

About the Qualification
Course is a Business and Technology Education Council( BTEC) a Level 4 qualification awarded through the Edexcel Foundation. It is first of two levels of diploma qualification and acknowledges students existing skills and the development and application of formal management techniques. The course has been developed to meet the needs both of new and existing managers irrespective of whether their previous experience is a dental management environment. it represents one year of study. Successful students may choose to further their studies and achieve the second level of this qualification,.
This award can be achieved through workshops or Open Learning studies.
All students are allocated a tutor who will support their learning throughout the course.
Generating Evidence
To gain the award, students are required to produce evidence of
outcomes in the form of:
O Work from case studies
O The production of documentation for workplace projects
O The production of policies
O The production of training documents for practice staff
Time Commitment
Approximately 7 hours personal study per week
Each unit is accredited with 60 study hours when completed
Some study will run concurrent with day-to-day practice duties.
