The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is an extremely popular course for trainers. It is suitable for beginner, intermediate and full-time teaching and training staff. Previously, it was known as the DTLLS or the Level 5 Diploma to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
The ELN Level 5 DET is accredited by Pearson Edexcel and Laser Learning.
One reason this is so popular is that this leads to Fully Qualified Teacher Status or QTLS / QTS. This qualifies teachers or trainers to teach across a wide range of FE, HE institutions, Colleges, Training Providers etc.
AND unlike popular belief, this course is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced teaching staff. You will need access to 100 hours of teaching and this discourages a lot of people, but we can help! Depending on your subject specialism, we can help you find placements in paid or voluntary positions. You can gain valuable experience and complete your qualification as you earn!

About this course
For beginners and full-time trainers/teachers
The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training are available for all candidates who fulfil the following criteria set by the Awarding Organisations:
Age range: 19+
Core & research skills: (English, Maths) at least to undergraduate level.
Access to the Internet using a laptop / pc / tablet using up to date Windows, Android or Apple operating systems and browsers.
Access to 100 hours of teaching of which 8 hours must be observed and assessed (we can arrange an assessor visit, assess via Skype or video recording, or via witness testimony from a suitably qualified person in your company).
ALL OUR COURSES ARE QCF ACCREDITED (Laser Learning, NOCN, Edexcel) AND INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED!
There are 4 compulsory units in the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. Optional Units are chosen from a range of 23 Ofqual approved Optional Units. WE ARE THE ONLY TRAINING PROVIDER TO PROVIDE ALL 20+ OFQUAL APPROVED OPTIONAL UNITS.

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is based on the assessment strategy and qualification structures, devised originally by Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK), and are now owned by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS). The ELN Online Diploma in E&T is accredited by well-known UK Awarding Organisations and is internationally recognised.
