Content of the Qualification

The qualification covers are range of units including the theories, principles and models of teaching, wider professional practice in teaching, inclusion, assessment, feedback, planning and resources in education and training.

Qualification Assessment Activities

The qualification is assessed through the completion of assignments, learner statements, action plans and evidence produced during teaching practice, such as resources, lesson plans and schemes of work. Learners are expected to evidence wider reading and include references in their work. Learners must also be observed a minimum of eight times. Each observation of the teaching practice must last for a minimum of one hour.
