Applicants must be working at a senior level in health or social care setting.Progress to further study. A wide variety of degrees are open to students on the completion of this diploma.This new one year Level 5 qualification replaces other Level 4 qualifications and is all you need to become a qualified care manager. The delivery model of the course is tailored to suit people who are already working and aims to guide and assess the development of knowledge and understanding in managerial skills alongside development of advanced practice within the health and social care and children and young people's services. This is a required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements in the health and social care and children and young people sectors in England. You must be aged over 19 years and be working in this sector, either with adults or children and young people, for example, as an elderly care home manager or children's residential care etc. There are six pathways from which to study, according to individual roles and responsibilities. The course also includes attendance at master classes for one day a month and you will also receive a number of work based evaluations through 30 hours of observations spread across the year. To be accepted on this course, you must be working as a registered care manager or as an assistant manager who is fully involved with the CQC process.
