Course Overview:
This course is suitable for candidates who work as managers in health and social care and children and young people’s services in the health and social care sector.
This new qualification came into force from December 2010. It replaces the current Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services and the Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care. The Government’s personalisation agenda has set a direction for services which are centred on the individual and can be delivered flexibly and which will maximise individual choice and involvement. The services which are developing may differ greatly from traditional models of service delivery. These new and varied services will require skilled and careful management if they are to achieve the best possible outcome for the people who use them.
