Why choose this course?
This course will give you skills that will be useful in a variety of contexts; in particular it helps you to understand the nature and structure of arguments. Those of you who are intending to apply for sought-after university courses such as medicine or law will find that it is becoming increasingly likely that you will have to take some sort of Critical Thinking assessment as part of the selection process.

What will I study?
The first module is Assessing the Credibility of Evidence, which includes considering all aspects of evidence to decide if we should accept it, and applying this to real life examples. The second module is Assessing and Developing Argument, which involves analysing the structure of an argument and developing your own arguments.
