This course is aimed at people who would like to work in a wide variety of jobs which involve graphic design, whether in advertising, newspapers, websites or as a freelance designer. You will develop your design skills through project work to a number of specific briefs while learning the theory behind art and design and a variety of relevant subjects. In addition to the mandatory units you will be able to choose the optional units that interest you most. After completing your higher national certificate, there is the option to top up to a higher national diploma, which is a level five qualification.
