The librarian's duties are many, even if in fact limited exclusively to the management of the library to which he is assigned. Let's see what exactly this worker does. Specifically, the librarian has the following tasks: managing the library, cataloging the books, knowing their information, knowing which shelves they are placed on, knowing the number of copies available and much more. At this point, the librarian must first register that text in the archive, this means that he must catalog and classify it, thus establishing the topic of belonging and including it in a certain section. If it is a book that talks about the ancient period of Egypt, it must be included in a hypothetical History section, moreover, it must be temporally placed correctly, therefore, again to give an example, before the texts dealing with the civilization of Ancient Rome. Of course, the librarian does the same thing with any item, magazine or document in his possession. This profession has evolved quite profoundly in recent years, although it has maintained its tradition linked to culture and books, today it requires a very specific training path. Unlike decades ago, when the librarian was enough to be cultured, as well as a lover of books, in short, they did not need a degree or other special qualifications. On the contrary, today all these things are needed, therefore the librarian does not improvise himself as such, but starts with the idea of training himself to embrace this profession.
