Course programme

We are able to offer a one day workshop “Life after Redundancy” to help people who may be feeling vulnerable about impending redundancy. The workshop will help them to develop the self-confidence to understand their strengths, to sell themselves in a positive manner and to identify new employment opportunities. The venue is the Cotswold Conference Centre, Broadway WR127RJ (with easy access by car and train).

There is a choice of 2 dates; 19th April 2011 and 1st July 2011 and the cost per person will be £225 plus VAT. This price includes all training materials, a personalised profile with action plan, all refreshments and lunch in the Dining Room. (accommodation is available, if required). The workshop will start at 9.30 a.m. (Registration from 9.00 a.m.) with a 4.30 p.m. finish.

Objectives of the Workshop:
To enable participants to:

· Have a clearer understanding of the emotional impact of redundancy and feel better equipped to deal with the consequences of change

· Be reinvigorated to consider options that feel beyond the bounds of possibility

· Appreciate the skills and attributes that they have and maximise their appeal to prospective employers

· Draw up an effective job search action plan using a variety of resources

· Be aware of the importance of networking in identifying opportunities both emotionally and practically

· Maximise their chances of success at each stage of the recruitment process

· Appreciate how to compile the key features of an effective CV, application form and cover letter

· Have a clear understanding of how to prepare for and perform effectively in a structured interviewAt the end of the workshop participants will leave with a completed personalised profile and an action plan to prepare for the future

p.s. One to one coaching is also available to provide guidance, support and encouragement to individuals requiring a more personalised and tailored approach.
