History
Lifelong Learning International started life in August 2003 as A2Z Security Ltd. Under that name the Company was delivering training for the general security market and between 2003 and 2010 trained over 5000 security guards and door supervisors and almost 500 trainers for the security industry. The Company also delivered security NVQs and was sub-contracted to JSP and an FE College to deliver return to work training programmes.
The Director of Lifelong Learning International, Ian Watts, has been involved in writing and quality assurance projects with Edexcel, arguably the UK's largest qualification awarding body.
In addition to the UK, the Company has been retained by clients in various parts of the world such as the UAE, Cyprus, Malta and Africa. Ian Watts is a partner in a Fraud Prevention Consultancy Company in Uganda.
In 2003, a strategic decision was made to move away from the general security training and concentrate on 'high-end, high value' security and profit protection training/consultancy. The training we now offer does not result in formal qualifications yet but we are working toward getting our courses accredited. There are currently no accredited courses which result in nationally recognised qualifications in our subject areas. At the same time that we changed focus it made sense to change our name and Lifelong Learning (London) International Limited was born.
The Company is still approved by Edexcel and NCFE to deliver certain qualifications such as PTLLS but we are now concentrating on our unique suite of training courses which are designed to improve performance and profit margins in any organisation.
