Our experts will help you develop a knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts and processes.You will gain the pedagogical skills needed to teach numeracy in the secondary education sector. For the Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) applicants and the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (ProfGCE) applicants should have:A 2.2 or above in an honours degree in a relevant subject.     Assessment The programme is entirely coursework based. You will be assessed on the quality of written assignments and also your classroom teaching. Your teaching will be observed on eight occasions and you will need to pass all courses. Careers Graduates for this programme can pursue a teaching career in the lifelong learning sector. We are offering pre-programme Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses to prepare you to teach in your specialist subject area and enhance your subject knowledge. For more information on our SKE courses, click here. SKE courses can range from 8 weeks – 24 weeks. Studying an SKE course will mean that you may also be eligible for a tax-free SKE training bursary of £200 per week to support you throughout the course. For example, if this is applicable to you, you could receive £3,200 over the span of a 16 week course.
