LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR TRAINING

Reach Truck (right, above) Mast ‘reaches’ out to pick up load. Load is ‘reached’ back and carried within the wheelbase if possible. Has greater manoeuvrability in restricted areas. Commonly battery-operated and used in warehouses.

Counterbalance FLT (left, above) Counterweight balances load on the forks. Tiltable mast (5-15 degrees). Many attachments available.

As well as receiving full training, the candidate will sit 2 tests (one practical, one theoretical). If the candidate meets the required standard in both tests, he/she will be issued with a certificate which complies with the Health & Safety Commission's Approved Code of Practice for Lift Truck Operators (ACOP 26)

Course durations:
- Experienced Operator/Refresher Training 1 day
- Limited experience 3 days
