Lifting Operations Awareness: 1 Day
This theory based course is designed to give the delegate an awareness level of knowledge on all aspects of mechanical lifting operations, including a combination of Rigging and Lifting and Banksman / Slinger techniques.
CONTENT: General industry practice for safe crane operations; General industry practice for safe rigging operations; Basic principles for safe slinging operations; Planning of lifting operations; Risk assessment; Pre-use inspection of equipment; Equipment discard criteria; Lifting and landing of loads; Controling loads; Protection of load from rigging and the protection of slings from the load.
This course begins and ends with a written test paper and the successful delegates are issued with an NSL certificate of training.
DETAILS: This course is currently delivered at one of NSL's training centres, but can be delivered at the client's premises. This course runs every Monday of each week.
PPE REQUIRED: Coveralls, hard hat, safety boots and gloves.
