LITERACY IN THE EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE

Statistics show that 15% (5.1 million) of adults in England lack basic literacy skills and these problems stem from a deficiency of education in the childhood years. It is important to highlight the importance of literacy, which is the ability to read, write, speak and listen, and a lack of these skills will cause someone to stumble in any stage of life doing the basics of communication.
