Literacy Level 1 & 2

Do you need to obtain a recognised qualification for work or to further your education? Do you struggle with reading and writing and have difficulty with spelling? It the answers to these questions is yes then this course is for you.

• The ability to write simple sentences
• Read a newspaper without difficulty
• Be confident in speaking and listening in English
• The desire to learn and improve your skills

You could progress from Level 1 to Level 2, subject to your ability. When you have achieved at Level 2 then access to Further or Higher Education and employment opportunities may become more easily available to you.

Courses run for one 3 hour session each week from September to July.

Free courses starting in September 2009
Courses are free to home students who do not have a qualification at Level 2 or above - that is five GCSEs with grades A to C or equivalent. A fee applies for overseas students.
