History

Our lively, informal courses take the mystique and mystery out of baking, and will help you get the best from our flours. If you have never made bread or feel it could do with improving the "Breadmaking "course is for you - a day spent learning about grain, milling and how to make wonderful tasty bread that takes very little time and effort. "More Breadmaking " is for those who are happy with their simple yeasted bread. We cover sour doughs, experiment with rye and barley and have a go at a “No Knead” loaf. The courses are very good value at £65 including an organic, vegetarian lunch. The mill is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley and there are plenty of walks and things to do in the area for friends or family. We can also advise on accommodation and, of course, supply you with our full range of flours !
