The Live Events and Promotion Advanced Apprenticeship course is suitable for those working in a technical, artistic or administrative capacity in the areas of indoor or outdoor events, venue based events, one-off events or tours and small to large scale productions.

What will i learn?
Live Events and Promotion Diploma Level 3 units may include:
- Understanding the Creative and Cultural Industries
- Health and Safety
- Planning and Managing Budgets
- Producing and Distributing Promotional Material
- Publicising Events
- Preparing Contracts
- Supporting Front of House Management
- Supporting Events Through Live Sound Engineering and Lighting
As part of the Apprenticeship framework you will also study Employment Rights and Responsibilities, and Functional Skills Level 2/GCSEs in English and maths.
What are the Entry Requirements
Successful completion of a relevant level 2 qualification.
What can I do next?
Career pathways may include music/events promotions assistant, entertainment officer or production assistant. Following further training and development, possible progression to managerial roles.
Course Progression
Higher Education opportunities may include the Foundation Degree or BA (Hons) in Technical Theatre at Colchester Institute.

Considering an apprenticeship?
Many young people look to an apprenticeship to gain valuable skills directly in the workplace.
You can apply for both an apprenticeship, and a full-time course as your back up,
but note that you will need to do some research to find an employer willing to take you on as an apprentice
if you do not already have one.
If you are applying for an apprenticeship please use the application form above,
ensuring you complete section 4 of the form. In order to start your apprenticeship you must have an employer
ready to complete your apprenticeship with.
